History-Law Symposium


A joint History-Law symposium was held on Thursday 12 June to discuss Drawing the Global Colour Line: White Men's Countries and the Question of Racial Equality (MUP, 2008) by Professor Marilyn Lake, ARC Professorial Professor and Professor of History at LaTrobe University, and Professor Henry Reynolds, University of Tasmania.

Professor Desley Deacon of the the History Program, RSSS and Professor Kim Rubenstein, Director of the Centre for International and Public Law, ANU College of Law hosted the afternoon's event, which featured papers by Professor Lake, Professor Reynolds, Professor Mary Crick, University of Sydney Law School, Professor Ann Curthoys, ARC Professorial Fellow and Professor of History Faculty of Arts, CASS and Peter Prince, PhD candidate, ANU College of Law.
