What you will learn?

Your first step on your journey is to enrol into one of the Research School’s many undergraduate degree programmes. A typical study programme for an undergraduate within the RSSS is orientated toward a Bachelor’s Degree comprising 144 unit points where most courses are worth 6 points. This translates into a full-time load of 4 courses per semester with 6 semesters making up a typical 3 year Bachelor’s Degree. Students may elect to undertake their programs on a part-time basis.

Courses within the College of Arts and Social Sciences

Students who excel in their undergraduate studies have the opportunity to further their understanding of their chosen field of interest through an additional honours year. The honours year usually includes writing a thesis and undertaking coursework.

Completing an honours degree to a high standard may afford a graduate the opportunity to conduct higher-degree research for a masters degree or a doctorate of philosophy in which candidates develop their own original research and add to the collective knowledge of the subject matter.

At each stage in your tertiary experience, new doors will become open to you that will allow you to pursue your interests and passions and introduce you to new people and places across the globe.
